Day 8: Tuesday May 20 - Exploring Lewis and Clark.

Bob Kerrey pedestrian bridge over the Missouri River connecting Council Bluffs, Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska. It's the first pedestrian bridge connecting two states.
The bridge is 3000 feet or .9k. If you walked from end to end, you got this cool sticker. We actually went across and back so we walked 1.8k or just over a mile
Standing on the state line between Iowa and Nebraska at the same time.
Always something interesting. This 33-foot-tall figure appear to be made of mashed-up aluminum roasting pans and crumpled tin foil. The roasting pan giant, titled "Looking Up," was unveiled in May 2019 in front of Council Bluffs' new River's Edge Pavilion. The clown-footed creature gazes skyward, as if he's waiting for other elongated guests to drop from the sky and join him on the lawn.
A pelican slide and climbing structure for kids.
On way to the next stop (210 miles from Council Bluff, IA to Canostota, SD) stopped at another Lewis and Clark park in Iowa for some hiking and to see the Lewis and Clark skiff model at the Park.
After leaving the L&C State Park, stopped at Stone Park for some afternoon hiking and found another train museum.
Porter Sculpture Park. 60 sculptures crafted from metal with accompanying poetry.
